NBC orders Ryan Murphy pilot

NBC has purchased a comedy pilot from Ryan Murphy and twentieth century Fox Television. The "Glee" creator and 2 other executive producers in the Fox series, Dante Di Loreto and Allison Adler, are behind "The Brand New Normal," just one-camera family comedy focusing on a gay couple and also the lady who becomes their surrogate. The "Normal" pickup wasn't entirely unpredicted given there is a substantial penalty connected to the put pilot. Already attached in a single charge roles is Andrew Rannells ("It of Mormon"). "Normal" signifies a couple of firsts for Murphy's growing TV empire, that also includes Forex drama "American Horror Story." The pilot is his first half-hour project and he's never arrived a task at NBC before. In other pilot news, Mike Kasdan has signed onto helm another Twentieth comedy for Fox, "Ben Fox Is My Manny."
